Second Chance

It usually starts with an idea. In this case, Second Chance is a reflection on the notion of  "cult of personality", as it has developed in past and current dictatorships around the world. Somewhere between propaganda and caricature, Daniel uses spray-painted stencils, typical of mass media, to confront images of historical figures responsible for the worst crimes in history. However, he works on the image of these figures during their youth, between adolescence and early adulthood — before they made history as "universal villains". He recreates another life for them, on the edge of cuteness and ridicule. Because, after all, before one commits the irreparable, everybody deserves a "Second Chance".
